A Rajasthan University Boys Hostel in the Heart of Jaipur
Maharana Partap Hostel is the official boys hostel of University Commerce College, a constituent college of the University of Rajasthan (Rajasthan University), Jaipur. Located on JLN Marg, the hostel forms part of the University of Rajasthan residential system and houses students pursuing commerce and management studies at the college, including B.Com, M.Com and MBA programmes.
The hostel was formally inaugurated on 28 February 1979 and has since served as a long-standing residence for outstation students studying at Rajasthan University. Over the decades, it has built a reputation for a disciplined, safe and study-friendly environment that supports serious academic work.
Accommodation and Campus Life
Every resident is allotted a private single room furnished with a bed, table, chair, almirah and fan. Students bring their own bedsheets and personal items. The hostel offers a quiet reading room, access to the University Commerce College library, on-campus sports facilities, a TV room and RO drinking water — everything a Rajasthan University student needs for focused study and healthy campus life.
Meals are served in the in-house mess, which is managed by the students themselves. Residents collectively decide the weekly menu, and the food is prepared fresh daily — hygienic, tasty and well regarded among students of the college.
Administration
The hostel is led by the Warden, Dr. M. L. Vasita, with support from Assistant Warden Nishant Swami. Day-to-day administration focuses on discipline, academic seriousness and the well-being of every resident — in keeping with the standards of the University of Rajasthan hostel system.
